TBI to TPI swap...

Ok now before anyone wants to hit me in the head for makin this post, i was told to talk to you guys from the fullsize chevy board. I want to do this swap and i know what i need and what not but i have a few questions. before anythin let me tell you a lil somethin. FI is new to me, im a carb man my self and have built many small blocks in my time and been a 80's g-body fan mostly SS's b/c there much cheaper than a GN a i think cutlass's are ugly. anyway i picked up a 94 1500 w/ a 305 w/280k on it. truck runs great and is emaculate but im going to do some bolt on changes to get more power out of the 305. headers, tpi and when the motor dies its on to a 350. now i know that theres a difference between the bolt pattern on 86 and under and 87+ heads and the one piece seal. What year TPI should i look to ****** up for this. is there ups and downs to different years? and am i going to use the camaro/vette/trans am computer or my TBI one from the truck. The truck has the 4L60E trans and i want it to work the same way as is does now.

I wish you good luck...I don't thimk there is a computer that will run TPI and 4L60E, except the Edelbrock thingy. (TBI conversion to multi port)
The guys on the DIY board have been working on this for a while now.

Try Street and Performance, they might have an answer for you...I believe they make a computer that will work with it I thought, not a 100% sure though. Good luck with the swap....I am about to do a TPI conversion in my 1990 truck with a 700R4.

As an alternative. I have seen standalone systems for the 4L60E trans. You would end up with separate computers for the engine, and trans, but, it would work.....
