Egr question

What is the name of the part of the EGR Valve with the screw in needle that has a wire connected to it ?

I think you are referring to the EGR temp switch. Senses if hot gas is moving past it indicating EGR is functioning, which is "watched' by the ECM.

Mine isn't a needle though, just a squared off end.

Thats it ya theres like a needle point that screws in to that piece. When i took mine out it broke so now that I know what it is i can buy thank you.
