possible wrong injectors?!?!?!

Last night I went to take my old injectors out and put my new 28# injectors in my fuel rail for a 400 that I just got done building and they are quite different. The old injectors are from a 1985 305 that I had been running with a 1227730 computer. The new injectors are Bosch # 0 280 155 931 that I got from Racetronix. The old injectors are 3.125" tall and the new ones are 2.8825" tall. Also the clip on the old injectors is the kind that goes into the fuel rail and then twists to lock, there is no what that could happen with the new injectors because the plug would be in the way.

What can I do?!!?! do i have the wrong injectors? can i get a new fuel rail? HELP please I really wanted to get this running this weekend!!

Any reason why you didn't go with a set of Ford 24# or 30# injectors?? They fit in the stock GM fuel rail....any they are cheap.

no reason except that I already bought these and my prom has been set up for 28# injectors. I really don't want to have to send these back and get new ones. And these were cheap, too.

#28 injectors for a 400??? That seems extremely small. I am having to go with #36 injectors for my 383 460HP.

their plenty tall, those just look like ls1 or z06 injectors, which numerous people are running on here. You also don't need the clips. Let us all know how the 400 runs

How are those 36#'s working out for you?

I'm still in the process getting all the parts together. Call fiveomotorsports and ask them which injectors to get.

Thats not 100% true, depending on how efficient the engine is. Im using #36 injectors in my 436, and they are a tad too big. If they are small, I doubt they are "extremely" small.
