1 or the other, heads or cam on a modded 5.0?

Let's say you had to choose 1 or the other. Which one would you choose and why? If this is a silly question then answer why? What gains would getting World Heads on my car if it had the following mods: LT1 intake, headers, 3.73's?

If I go with either heads or cam, I will do springs for higher shifts thanks to the gears and intake.

Please correct me if my thinking is out of whack, but nicely.

Thanks

Go with heads. Thats where the powers at.
A good cam is useless if you cant flow the numbers.
Small motor& big cam = loss of power.
Heads With minor bowl work and small combustion chamber and a thin head gasket might give you around 60 horse with the same cam.
Personally I wouldnt tear down a 305 and sink money into it I would just replace it with a long block 350.
or bigger

well now he said nothing about a 350 now did he? If i were you i would save money and do both at once, you will get the biggest gain from doing both especially since you will have the motor apart anyway. a good set of heads and cam will enable you to go beat upon the 350 guys, they dont like betting beat by 305s, especially the C4 corvette guys, they get pissed.

To answer your question heads without a doubt. However if I was doing it I would spend the money on a 350.

I have a comp cam in my 305.
It is nice and helped in power

But I helped put in a cam and heads in a buddy's 350, and wow! What a difference!!

Think about it. If you are going thru the trouble of doing either, you might as well do both!!

Make sure that everything that is going on your car will move over to a 350 once your 305 blows.

I'm gonna do that when on mine.
