here is my motor Im thinking of building
I have a 350 with stock bottom end, a HSR to replace the TPI 24# injectors, and a roller cam from CompCams. Its specs are gross lift intake = .502
exhaust= .510.
duration at .50 224 and 230
I have the springs to go with the cam. Now the only thing I still need is heads. If I use the 350 TPI L98 iron heads and just do some proting to them are they going to starve the cam over 5 k rpm. I have a friend that can machine the heads for the high lift springs, but I dont want to kill my cam with those heads if they wont flow good enough. I would like to see 300 rwhp at 6k with out spending lots of money on heads. What do you guys think.

not a lot, I think Im going to go with some l98 alluminum vett heads. 58cc and this whould do me. The car is running now with the cam and HSR but has some s**ty heads on it. I wanted to make sure the motor was not going to give me any trouble befor I spent more money on expensive heads. I rebuilt it my self. Well I had a good shop bore it and hone it but I checked the specs and did the assymbly. It has about 3500 miles on it now and no blow-by and all seems to be ok. I also put a 2500 stall converter in the 700r4 and it has a vett survo in it. Has a nice firm shift in all gears now. How is you motor now? I saw a post of yours where you had to rebuild it again because the barings went out in it.
