should i mod my TPI???

right now my specs are the following on my engine:

350 bored .030 over 2 bolt main
cast pistons, crank, block and heads
.58cc heads, 1.84intake valves (305TPI heads)
melling 424in 444ex lift hydraulic flat tappet cam
bone stock TPI
SLP LS1 injectors (25 lbs)

i'm thinking of going with the edelbrock TPI heads that sell on summit, and a bigger cam. first of all, with the TPI, how big of a cam should i go with? also, do i have to change anything other than the PROM tuning after the mods? like the MAF sensor, etc... thanks again guys! any suggestions are cool, i havent bought anything yet

TPI likes motre lift, so search for good TPI-type cams, LPE should give you a startng block.

Your small valve are probably holding you back, better heads is always a major plus in engine building...although you gained some with smaller CC's. you're probaly losing it up top on flow.

Anything you change will not affect any sensors (MAF too) so get busy iof ya have the bucks...once the setup is cmopeet yuo will want to look into a good PROM tune.

yeah, well even right now i need a good PROM tune with the current setup, i got it burned but im still getting a code 44 (lean exhaust) and i have no idea why... i'm in the process of trouble shooting it. thanks a lot for the reply, i first get the thing running without a check engine light, then ill look into bigger valves and a cam

That's the best route...fixing things before modding them.

Damn, I should have used the spellchecker in the previous reply
