Last TPI problem please help :crossesfingers:
I have one last problem with my TPI, on a cold day the first time I try and start the car It will go to 1300 rpm and QUICKLY drop to 0 the second start it will go to 1300 and drop to 500 then increase back to 1000 and then slowly drop to 650 once the car is warm. When the car is warm it runs perfeclty no problems at all no codes no hesitation no searching idle, perfect. but when it is cold there is hesitation and rough idle. It takes about 3 min to warm up the car. I understand that this isnt a big deal but it gets annoying warming up the car every morning. Anyone else ever have this problem? Anyone have an answer? Any suggestions?
I am 99% sure I dont have ANOTHER vacuum leak. that was the main cause of my other problems. other things I have done are new MAF sensor, O2 sensor, Full Tune up, Fuel Filter, ESC,did the timing and cleaned the throttle body(including the IAC). sorry for it being long please help if you can.

Very hard to say...is your egr leaking?Did you try to plug it off and start the car that way when cold?
Do you also have a scanner?
A scanner will show if the IAC is not showing correct numbers. It may need to be reset.
Also,is your cold start valve completely sealed?I had a problem with that once where it did not seal 100% and caused a vacuum leak there but barely noticeable.
Is your TPS set?
These are some basics.Good Luck!

I just put in a new EGR I forgot to add to the list, that was the biggest problem of my old problems. The TPS is new and properly adjusted, another thing I forgot to add.
I dont know where my cold start valve is, do I have one? It is a 1985 TA TPI MAF.
Is resetting the IAC the same as doing the minimum air? Maybe that is it b/c I havent done that in a while.
This is really confusing b/c there are no codes to help me along.
I appriciate all of your help. thanks
