Should I buy this '89 GTA 5.7TPI?

Hello all, I am a newbie and just found this great website! I have an opportunity to purchase a 1989 GTA 5.7 TPI from a private seller: 3.27 rear end, 4-disk brakes, hardtop with 129,000 miles, PW, PDL, PHatch lock, Dark Red (Burgundy) exterior, camel interior. The body is an 8 out of 10 no dents but with minor surface rust. New tires 245-50-16 with the original light gold mesh wheels, new brakes, complete tune up, 2 new catalytics (recently passed emissions). Engine is very sound and has flowmasters out back. I took notes and the car is almost stock except for a Stage 2 Jet chip, March pulleys, SLP airflow, Flowmaster muffler, TB Bypassed. This is a legit GTA because it has the Y84 RPO.

Here is the problem; the driver side floorpan has rusted out when I looked underneath and lifted the up the carpet. The passenger has minor surface rust and is ok. It will definitely need a new driver side floorpan. How much should I expect to invest in fixing this? Is it even worth fixing? The seller is asking $2999. He is an ASE mechanic that just bought a house that needs to get rid of his toy, so I am confident he took care of his GTA.

Thanks

No. Not unless you're going to go over the body and frame with a fine toothed comb and fix all the rust spots and add undercoat and what not for those harsh winters. I'd pass, personally.
