knock sensor correct static resistance

I have 2 knock sensors, one from a '91, and one from an '88. Both TPI. The '91 gives a static 3.8k ohm res. The '88 gives a 101k ohm res.

Which one is good/bad?

Both do climb in resistance when struck.

Any info appreciated
Thanks

Do a search on knock sensors.

The 90-92 305 and 350 sensors are different numbers

The 85-89 305 and 350 sensors are different numbers.

I believe the values u stated are pretty correct, but u need to have the correct one for the application.

later

Yep, both sensors are good. The 3.9K is for a Speed Density system computer and the 100K is for the MAF System computer.

Appreciate the info. I did do a search, though there is a lot of posts to sift through. Is there an FAQ on sensors and all their values etc.? If not it migh be a good asset for quick reference.
Thanks again...
