timing issue

Axle/Gears: 2.73
timing issue
I have a TPI 350 my 86 z28 i have the idle set at 600rpm and it wants to die, but if I disconnect the est(timing) connector it idle and runs perfect any ideas?

if it idles adn runs perfectly, then why not leave it disconnected?

is your prom stock?
did you buy a after market chip? it might not have the correct timing.
First see what your prom timing is set to if you have the tools.
your timing It should be set to 6 with the connector unplugged. so break out the timing light.
also in you're prom timing should be 6 too.
that assuming it's stock for the most part.
