PLease help me troubleshoot this problem
OK...I've left it alone for a long time, but now it bugs me. My 87, since I had done the tuneup on it before driving it from NY down to GA, now idles at around 1000 - 1500 RPM. This happened after My uncle and I set the timing back to stock(yes we disconnected the EST to do it)....before that it was advanced by ALOT....not running boost or anything, haven't checked to see if there is a custom chip, but we checked all sensors around the TB to include IAC and TPS...they were all in spec and putting out the proper readings for regular idle. So yeah....WTF am I lookin at here?

Reset the TPS and IAC per teh factpry method detailed on this site as a tech article.
Then go from there after your 100% sure its correct.
Flahy TPS sensor could cause this as well as incirrect throttle settings.
or a vacuum leak making it lean out.
If it was set prior with the timing excessively high, u need to start there first.
