Are there runners that look exactly like stock?
I know they resemble stock runners, but I've been looking through posts at TPi engine bays and in Fbird books and I think the stock runners all shined up against the flat TPI plenum looks MY-T sharp!
So are there any aftermarket runners that have the same look, cuz all I see are just flat and dull looking like the plenum. And I don't want chrome either.
Thanks, Kevin

if you want the best bang for the buck.. go with SLP siameased runners.. i think they are 280$.. the ASM cost $400 and TPiS charges $425 for the exact same thing.. only other runners i know of are Edlebrock.. which i hear are pretty big inside..but look like @$$ on the outside..

AS&M Runners, mine are semi-siamesed though. Long gone, though. Sold them to a friend to fund the swap to my HSR.

AS&M flow the best out of all of the aftermarkets and hard to detect from stock and are great quality. Accel and Edelbrock run reasonably close to each other, but not quite as well as the AS&M's. SLP's flow the least.
SLP's can hang in there with some good porting and can be had for about $225 from SLP. So if you're handy with a dremel they could be a pretty good deal, just remember to port match your plenum for maximum results.
Somewhere I have the flow specs for all these, I'll see if I can find them and post them.

When the SLP's are opened up they flow as good as or better than any runner. See picture.

I picked up a set of ASM / TPIS large tube runners on ebay for $80! The seller listed them as stock runners but I noticed the slight differences and got one hell of a deal. They were pretty dirty so I polished them up. I will agree though these runner cost way to much new.

If you do decide on the ASM Runners their is a 2 month backorder. I ordered a set in April and got them about a week ago.

That is sweet. Maybe you can post some closeup pics of those runners. I dont know why every set of slp runners I see on ebay sells for the same price as a new set. I have never been able to sell anything for the price I bought it for no matter how good they look but somehow those slps dont lose value.

If you're just looking for pretty, then take them off and polish them yourself.
Its not hard just a couple of nights holding a drill until your hands can't take it anymore
Really its not hard at all and they do come out looking great.
I never even attempted to polish anything but my aluminum wheels before and this was my first time.
I'm doing my HSR now and am about 1/2 way done (should have taken that to someone who does it, its alllllot more work than the TPI was)
This picture is the total stock setup just cleaned up.
1989GTATransAm, did you do the base like that too ?
Thing should be pulling very nice after all that.

The Edelbrock base has been Extrude Honed to 1.70" to match the SLP runners at that point. I still have to much low end torque as I'm having trouble hooking up with the Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial tires. When it hooks though 12.7's is the rule and I expect to be in the 12.5's in a few months. Attached are the runners installed.
