Anyone care to make a guess...

...what HP and torque numbers an L98 would put out if it was bored out to a 355 with a stroker kit. As well as a Holley Stealth Ram, bigger cam better heads, underdrive pullyes, as well as my previous mods listed in my sig.

Depends on what you're doing to the stroke to get 355ci out of a 350ci stock engine...tell us more.

well it turns out that the ol L98 may not be as bad off as I was lead to believe. My mechanic said something like the engine might have swallowed a vavle so he was going to pull off some rockers and check it out. If it is only that, Im not going to pull the engine and rebuild it in the near future. Im just going to Stealth Ram it and cam it, new heads, underdrive pulleys and 3.73 gears, in addition to the previous mods. If the engine needs to be rebuilt Im going to talk to the guys at the rebuild shop on Tuesday and discuss the rebuild with them. Im not looking for anything too special. Just a solid 300 HP to the wheels without N02 or forced air induction. Anything over 300 is gravy.

If it dropped a valve, you'll be tearing down the engine. Depending on how fast the engine was revving, you may be shopping for a whole new shortblock.
