Running rough Help!!!
I recently replaced the converter on my car with just a straight pipe. Later on the car started running rough and stumbling and had no power. I checked for codes and got a 32. Took off the EGR and cleaned it out and it ran fine. Couple days later back to 32. Just put on a new EGR valve and it is still running rough and stumbles when you try and give it gas. Code 32 is gone and now get a 33. Replaced the MAP with another and now no 33 but car is still running rough and stumbling. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

I aint no expert , but I have found one code could mean other than what it was designated for . Did it ever get better at any time ? I would also check out the O2 ...adn the Maf relays on the firewall .

I replaced the O2 a couple months ago. I have a MAP not MAF. I'v tried replacing the MAP but no luck, sill have code 34. Is there a way to trouble shoot the MAP and does it have a relay like the MAF does. Thanks.

what about the EGR solenoid? it might be sticking letting the egr hang open a little, a quick test would be take the vacuum line off the egr valve and plug it then try it.

Turned out to be a bad injector. The car would start and run fine. Once I gave it any kind of throttle it would die. I ohmed the injectors and found one bad. I disconnected the injector with the engine running and I was able to give it throttle. I ordered a new set of injectors from summit and it runs fine. I was still getting the EGR code. I took off the straight pipe I bought to replace the cat, and now no more problems. Guess I'll sell it on ebay. Hard to believe that one bad injector would make it run that bad.

I wnet through teh EXACT same thing on mine . One went .... then it woudl barely idle ...adn throttle it died.
The reason it effects it that much is . We use a batch fire setup .... 4 injectors fire at the same time . So one was out .....that took the other 3 out with it . Kinda liek the old christmas tree lights . glad you got it sorted out
