Can a severly cracked Y-Pipe be my problem?
Hey guys I got a 86 305 TPI camaro, with 93k on it. The Y pipe is severly cracked, with a crack running completely from one end of the exhaust manifold, to the other manifold. I got 4 codes in my computer, a 32, 34, 43, and 44. I replaced the O2 sensor around when I first got the car 3 months ago. Lately the car has really been acting up though. Runs sluggish sometimes, hard to restart after warmed up, or has a hesitation on throttle response. So with these codes being a lean code, a ESC code, a egr code, and a MAF code, Im thinking it may be possible they are all routing from the same source? Any Ideas?

I'm not an expert, but I would say with a crack that big you could have some problems. I would think that most of your exhaust is coming out there and not through the muffler. Can you smell the exhaust fumes inside the car? I would get that fixed and clear the codes and see how it runs.

Is it actually leaking bad? Some of these forward pipes are double wall. Symptoms sort of lead me to a fuel pump or filter instead. Try a new filter first. I'd sure replace that pipe as soon as possible though.

Already replaced the fuel filter with a new ac delco one. did fuel pressure tests on it when i first got it, and it stayed right in spec. Also did a cleaning of the injectors with injector cleaner from a dealership. Yes, I can also smell the fumes inside the car. Thanks for these reply's guys, keep em coming! I dont want to start throwing alot of money I dont have into the car right now.
