Any idea what a set of SLP runners (non ported) would bag me in the 1/4 or hp?

Ditto what he said.

They arent the best if u want to bolt on and go.

They are one of the best of your on a budget and have some time to spare porting however.

I've done a couple of sets, doesnt take that long, figure on wasting a whole day or two to do them deep and even.(if youve never done stuff like that before)

later

what tools are needed to do the plenum/SLP runner porting?

please give me a detailed list...i dont have access to air tools mind you, id probably do this out of my house.

after i felt last night how my car somewhat cut out on the top end (it stopped revving quickly like it would in 1st and 2nd in an auto)...i know i need to relieve some flow.

Well its no biggie, I found them for 50 bucks at a junkyard. It pulls quite a bit harder up top. Sometime ill end up port matching them to the plenum.

I agree with the above posts. Stock by themselves you won't see a big horsepower gain. However the nice thing about the SLP runners as was mentioned above is they can be readily modified and quite heavily if necessary for lots of air flow.

I am also considering these runners. When people say modifying/porting them are you referring to siamesing them? I prefer not to modify the plenum that much. Will simply enlarging the openings to the plenum and intake manifold increase the airflow on these runners enough to consider buy them?
