Please help someone

I have a 92Z28, 305TPI. Started running rough and through a EGR code. After fixing that the car wouldn't stay running when you gave it any kinda throttle. I just put a new fuel pump in it, replaced the ECM, and fuel pressure regulator. My brother-in-law bought his scan tool and hooked up to and did not find anything unusuall. TPS, IAC working fine. When I bought the car about 10 months ago I went through it and did a very complete tune-up replacing everything including sensors. I am out of idea's and my brother-in-law is not as great as mechanic as he thinks he is. Hat to have it towed to a dealership. What am I missing? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

I sprayed carb cleaner down the throttle body and the endine will stay running. Could my injectors be bad or am I missing something? Anyone?

Check your vacuum lines, especially the ones going to the EGR solenoid and the EGR itself. Another possibility is the ignition module (the board under the distributor cap on the base of the dizzy), but I'd look to EGR and possible fuel problems first. Have you checked the fuel pressure yet?

Yes, fuel pressure is fine. The upper plemun is really sucking in the air, almost sounds like a jet engine. Checked all the vacume lines and couldn't find any leaks. I put a new ignition module in a couple of months ago also. I just don't know what else to check.

Yeah vacuum leaks.

Said this was only after u replaced the egr valve. Was the valve bad or was it the solenoid?

Did u put the proper runner on the proper side of the engine as well as install the gaskets properly? Did u use new gaskets?

I replaced the EGR and solenoid. Used new gaskets, did not take runners off. The old EGR through a code and it was stuck open.

What does upper plenum sucking air mean?

ALso ohm the injectors. SHould be near 17 ohm stock, below 10ohm is no lomger serviceable

With the engine running the throttle body is really sucking air. Sounds like its coming from the IAC. How do you Ohm the injectors?

I had the same thing happen. I took off my egr trying to clean it while porting the plenum, but entirely forgot a vacum line. Reluctantly remembered I didn't put that one on while I was drinking. If it is sucking than thats probably what it is. Go look for open holes somewhere. But my car does the same thing and throws egr codes. should replace but I have an lt1 intake and a 350 if I want so buying all the new stuff isn't worth it for me.

send a pic of the passenger side of the throttle body. If you could.

When I Ohm'd the injectors one was really low, .03. I disconnected it with the engine running and the car ran fine. Ordered a new set of injectors from summit racing and already have them installed. Car runs great again. Hard to believe that One injector would make the car run so bad. Thanks for all the help.
