black smoke on startup
Hi guys,
I have a 91 305 TPI that runs rough and belches black smoke when first started in the morning. It only happens when the car sits overnight, restarts during the day are fine. The car will run rough until everything clears out and then runs ok. Could the injectors be dripping fuel when the car is shutoff? Any way to test them, I didnt know if a simple ohm test would be relevant in this case. If I were to put a fuel pressure guage on the car what should I see as far as pressure and how long should it hold before I can assume the injectors are leaking by? Thanks for any help!

Im not up on the TPI injection system but I think some have a cold start injector. What it actually does im not sure but it sounds self-explanitory. Black smoke means its rich.
