Help...
I just installed my new chip for my computer and my "service engine soon " light will not turn off. I tried disconnecting the battery cable but it lights up every time i start it...any suggestions??
I replaced my 305 with a 383 and upgraded my 19 lb injectors with 30 lb ones...this was the reason for a new chip.

Yeah the SES is lighting up because the ECM is sending one or more trouble codes.
There are about forty different codes.
So what's has the car been telling you?
Did you miss hooking something back up when you did you engine swap perhaps?

No, you can jumper the terminals with a paper clip or similar device. Then read the flashes. If you are unfamiliar with the procedure, grab a Haynes manual or search this site.
