Nother code 32
I have read many a post on this damn code. I have even found some people that were having the same problems i am having, but i did not find out what they did to fix it in the end.
My situation: cold starts with the car in park, the idol will surge from 750 to little above 1k RPMs. Once its warm this stops on start ups. Also when the motor is cold, once i get to the street and get moving the car with sound, feel, act sluggish, it feels like a huge load was placed on the motor and it just lost a ton of power. Again once it is warm this will also for the most part stop. If i am on the highway or even on a long enough street, a cruise of 55 MPG or so for 1-2 miles will throw the light on. I was getting 150 miles per tank of gas too(read someone getting the same). As of right now i filled up and it has dropped to 3/4 tank and i have gone maybe 40-50 miles. Used to get around 75-100 depending on highway or not.
So Friday i will be tearing down the pelnum to install a new EGR valve and see how that goes. Motor has 92k on it and im sure its the original. I will be cleaning out the ports that i can get to and cleaning the runners.
If anyone has some advise towards this let me know. Again i read a ton of posts on this so please to give me the use the search button crap. If you have a link to someone that fixed their car with a similar prob link it up, maybe i some how missed it.

Well ill post my findings on this situtation for other peoples benifits. Read above to find out what i was dealin with.
The Fix: Replaced EGR Valve with a universal one from Napa. This fixed the surging from idol. But as we all know things dont come single they come in pairs
Replaced the EGR Valve Solenoid. This fixed the code poping up and the huge power loss while driving. I was receiving the code after i replaced the valve itself and now that i have replaced the solenoid i have take the car up north here in arizona on some hills and such and no such code nor was there any hesitation or power loss.

Well the car seems to be running fine, no loss of power anymore and the idol is not jumping. I guess it will come down to the sniffer test at the emissions place to see how well it is working.
