yup lets hear how many miles you have on your tpi. when i bought my formula in july of 2002 it had 109k miles on it and now it at 136k. not bad i guess.

 

70,000. Still running very strong. Not even any smoke on start ups.

227'000 HARD km's . But then the stock 305 died and I replaced it with a 353 and a Edlebrock Hi Flow TPI setup.

 

193000 miles. Original engine and trans, rear diff has been replaced. (carrier bearings where whining...) I have replaced the valve seals, valve cover gaskets, and that is it for the oil system. I do not burn any oil between changes.

 

95,000 and running strong, tad bit of oil burning on startup, but its minimal (bad valve seals)

 

138,000 km's for the Canadian folk
and 86,250 miles for the American people.

 

37,500 miles

 

just hit 90k and did an oil change. i put almost 30k on it since i have had it.

 

4,000 one new crate motor

 

97,000 on my 89 IROC

 

12,151 act on my 1989 1LE R7U 5 speed (Thanks mark for running my vin!)

 

113,000 plus. All put on by little ol me.

 

just about 216k miles, as far as I know, on the original shortblock.

158K and having a little fuel pump problem right now. Just bought the car. A TBI 305 RS parts car I just junked had 386K with a knocking motor, figured that was pretty good !!

 

just but ill make sure to park it outside of your house and fill it up with oil everyday.

Car has over 150 on it, but it's got a different speedo for abour a year, and I never cared to take note of the mileage, engine was replaced at some point before I owned it.

My old 87 IROC has around 220K on it, and still running stronger than ever. I only put new rear main, oil pan and valve cover gaskets on it, which stopped pretty much all the leaks

 

174k and smokes like a ***** on startup.

 

131,000 and she just dipped into the 13's

 

184k on the TPI itself


8k since engine rebuild

 

53k when I bought, 62k now.

 

A little less than 160,00 replaced seals due to smoke a few month ago

 

Bolt-on TPI 305...holding on at 173,000.....

I got 197,000 miles on mine and she's still running strong. I have already changed the injectors, transmission and rear diff. Suspension is next on the list.

 

Mine had 176,000 when I dropped a bolt in it and had to tear it down. Still had crosshatch in all 8 holes!

 

193377 on the original 305 that being rebuilt but will eventually up grade to a LS1

 

My 89 formula had 97,000 on it when I sold it, well the body did anyway, drive train had less than 30,000 on it.

My 86 Z28 has 124,000 on it and still going.

 

WOW did not know this TPI last so long. and they say honda and toyota last long. and i say do you really thing GM makes cars so they will brake down fast then any toyota or honda. think about it
