Upper Plenum sensor

Today while I was installing my new afpr, I noticed that the wire going to the sensor in the upper plenum had come disconnected (crimp on wire connector). Is this the temp. sensor right? If this was disconnected before, would it set a code?

I'm going to fix it tommorrow (got dark) but I'm wondering if this might be one of the reasons that the engine seems week and isn't getting that great of gas mileage. (Like maybe the default setting is rich if it doesn't have a temp signal???)

On a side note, I'm a little dissappointed with the BBD afpr. I installed it like the directions said, put on the plenum, then I couldn't adjust the screw cause its so long that it hits the plenum. Not a big deal, but I'm a little annoyed that the direction didn't mention clearancing the plenum.

All will be fixed tommorow!

Ummm cut the bolt shorter.

Easier than cutting the plenum lol

Sensor under the plenum was/is the MAT for manifold air temp sensor.

It would cause some issues if it was not properly connected.

Didnt say whether your swap was sd or not, but would show up as more of a driveability issue on a MAP aka SD car than on a MAF one
