What engine does it have?

Hey Im looking at buying a Supposedly 87 5.7 TPI for $1500 with 110K miles on it. Its body looks to be in good shape and engine, the VIN is 1G2FW21F8HL200887, how can I make sure its a 5.7? I know its a TPI but not sure if its a 5.0 or 5.7. I suppose ill be able to tell once I test drive it, the power difference. Thanks for any input

It's a 5.0L TPI... The 8 code in the VIN is the engine... F = 305 TPI and 8 = 350 TPI

Unless the engine been changed...

Personally I prefer TPI equiped cars... But that's a matter of personnal opinion. If you think that with the left over you can make it even nicer than your current car, why not?

If it is a manual tranny, you know it is a 5.0L unless he swapped it out.
