Looking for a good cam to match my superram build. Just want some more opinions, Crane told me to get a 119831 dur 222 230 lift .509 .528

I have searched and noticed others using this cam and are happy with it but id like to know if it would suite my engine.

 

yeah that or the lpe 219 cam seem to be about where u want to be

how much power u looking to make?

 

I like 400hp but 350 is fine without any spray.

 

I'm currently running the XR282HR hydraulic roller cam in my 355/SuperRam set-up.

Nice and lumpy.

 

that cam or the 219 cam should put you near if not over 400hp on motor, provided heads flow well, which they should

 

I am running an LT-4 Hot Cam in my 355 Super Ram, Sportsman 2 heads that have been heavily ported......runs Gooooood !!

The LPE 219 is supposed to be a very good choice too.

Talked to Comp cams today and they recomended the 08- 466 -8

218 224 dur .570 .565 lift 113*


The LPE 219 seems a little weak to me

219/219 duration @ .050 .560"/.560" with 1.6 rocker

 

Hmmm. Do some searching around here about the 219 cam and do some searching on some of the Corvette forums.

A lot of guys are running GREAT numbers with that cam.
