Cant crank engine over
Ok i just got done putting my remaned 350 in my camaro. Before hand i had it on a stand and had the pullies on and dampner on and could crank the motor over by hand with a wrench. Now with it in the car i cant. I removed the pulley b4 i put it in the car and when reasembling it i ended up striping the 7/16-20 thread out. i now have it taped for a 1/2 - 20 thread and a new bolt. Tried that but it seems lk im gona strip it out again. Any ideas what could be stoping it form roatatin? the head are on. no rockers. Tranny is in the car too. I found out i couldnt rotate it when i went to install torque converter. Im frecking out
well if you don't have the rockers installed then of course you can't turn it easily..
Let me guess, you have the spark plugs in it?
there is nowhere for the air to go since the valves aren't opening.
Install the rockers and try again. you'll be suprised.

Did you prelube/prime the oil pump? Can it rotate at all in either direction?
How about take the distributor out and see if it moves.
There's a flexplate wrench you could buy that'll save the front bolt. It hooks to the starter teeth.
