Ever since I got my car, the Service Engine Soon light comes on when i turn the power on. Is this normal? As soon as I start the car it goes off. Every once in a while I do get it though. I also have been having the high idle in park/stalling going into gear problem. I thought it would have been the IAC. I brought it to the mechanic (my dad didnt want me to do it myself ) and first he changed the idle motor. then he changed the MAT sensor. It still does it just less often. the thing is, now when i start it up when its a little cooler out, it wont stall warming up, itll keep revving a little when the rpms get too low. but still sometimes when I go into gear the car stalls if I dont give it gas, or even if I do, it will sometimes come back down too fast and die. maybe all these problems lead to something? Anyhow, my tranny died a couple weeks ago, and I tried to fix it. I replaced a couple broken things but still did not shift, so I am getting a new one this weekend. but when I took the car out to see if the parts worked it stalled really bad. I let it warm up or whatever, and when I put it in gear the idle got really rough and then died. Maybe all these problems are linked to one problem? thanks a lot for the help.
