Myster injectors?
O.K. I aquired my injectors from my cousin who aquired them from a swap meet in MA. Of course he claims they are off a corvette. Buy I have my doubts. How can I tell if they are 22lb or 19lb injectors? I checked the ohm's and they all are at 16.4 ohm's, except #7 which is more like 10 ohm's. I'm kind of hoping they are 19lb injectors which would explain alot. Thanks for your replies in advance.
1. Injector solenoid coil resistance has nothing whatsoever to do with flow. All it determines is if the coils are intact, or have suffered an open or shorting windings/insulation breakdown.
2. It doesn't matter if they came from a Corvette, Maseratti, Ferrari, Hyndai, or G.E. turbine. An injector with the correct flow rating and impedance range is like any other injector in that range.
3. They are not a "set" - One of them is trash. Want to guess which one?
4. If there is any identifying marking or part number on them, you may be able to find what the flow rating actually is. If not, you can send them off for cleaning/flowmatching ( http://www.cruzinperformance.com ), and the tester will report what the actual static and 80% duty cycle flows are. They may also be able to supply a good injector to replace the failed one, so you'll have a complete set again. It's about $11 per injector.

well they used to be a set about six months ago, what I meant was the guy at the swap meet obviously sold them as corvette injectors to make them more desirable, which is what led me to believe they were 22lb injectors, I appreciate your advice but just got a set of SVO 22lb pink tops for the princely sum of FREE! I guess it is good to have friends with stangs afterall. Thanks again
