I have been reading a few posts on the Mas air flow sensor.
I have read that on a 305 tpi they will disconect the sensor wire and the car still runs.
Here is a quote I found
( Disconnect the MAF sensor and watch your o2voltage. If it goes back up you likely have a defective MAF regardless if its new. They're pretty temperamental. Besides by your original post the problem started after the MAF was replaced.
Also if your idle smoothes out with the MAF disconnected it's probably gone south.)
When I do this to ours the car dies. and will not start.
is this correct? should it still run?
its a 1987 z28 I believe its a bosch unit.
thanks
