first ride in a TPI!

My friend just bought a 1991 Trans Am, with a 305 TPI...he told me to come over and get a ride in it, so i did and i am impressed! It was my first experience in a TPI and i am seriously thinking about swapping/converting my car to TPI. Can i stay with my 305 and just convert it by switching manifold, computer, etc..or do i have to swap in a new motor? What kind of price am i looking at for changing my TBI into a TPI??? And how diffucult is this going to be? Any input would be great, thanks.

it's been done, i'm doing it from a carb to tpi, do a search there's tons of info

i'm doing tbi 2 tpi
you need a bunch of parts like
43psi fuel pump (same as v6 MPFI) ~$65 autozone
19# injectors
tv kickdown cable
wiring harness
773 computer (also can get from v6 MPFI 91-92) ~$20-30 from junk yard
305 auto (AUJP) memcal from gmpartsdirect.com
305 tpi knock sensor
