Sorry if this has been covered b/4, I don't spend much time here. However, questions about Vortec swaps have been asked in the Engine Swap forum, and in confirming my answer I came across this item.

Their description doesn't say much about it performance-wise, a search here didn't yield much info either (either nothing if search was specific, too much to sort through if just slightly more general). What's the difference between it and the SDPC Vortec base p/n 12498060?

Both are about the same. As a matter of fact, Street & Performance sells the Eldebrock under their own name for 400.00, which is less than Eldebrock sells it for. I've got the Street & Performance, which came with Eldebrock instructions.
