Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 9 bolt posi w/ 2.77s
accel in cap super coil
will an accel in cap super coil work on a 5.7 tpi in an 89 iroc? if so will it perform as good as a remote mount one?

Transmission: 700 R4 (BOTH)
No the Accel in cap coil is made for the pre 87 large cap distributer, your '89 has the small cap, you would have to swap in an older dizzy. Accel does make a H/P remote coil that is probably equal to the in cap one.
