Code 43 w/new motor

Last week I lost oil pressure on my 1991 tpi 305 knock knock knock....... Well I went ahead and installed one of my spare motors another 305 same cams same everything. With it I did some mild port work on the heads ported my upper plenum to match my slp runners and added a set of 22lb. injectors. The motor started right up and I instantly had an eng. light come on. pulled the codes and came up with a code 43 which has something to do with the esc system. Went ahead and installed a new knock sensor but still have the same code. Timing is dead on at 8*. I did notice that the computer is constanly adjusting the timing at idle it seems to constantly hunt picking up and dropping about 100 rpm every 30 secs or so. what else should I check. In field service mode it goes into closed loop when the temp comes up. Would the bigger injectors cause that code???? It doesn't seem to be running rich in fact it seems to have less exaust smell than the other motor. what else should I check?????

May have found the problem. Pulled the cap and rotor off and found the hall effect plate to be loose/broke. I know it should rotate a couple of degrees but this one moves up and down also. Checked another distributor and the other doesn't move like that. Hoping that might be it. Checked the knock sensor wire and had reference voltage and already replaced the sensor so hopefully its in the distributor.
