Airfoil installation...

Well ive had my 92 z28 (305) for a few months now and its finally mod time. the previous owner gave me a SLP replacement airfoil but no instructions. i hear its pretty easy to do.

does anyone know where i can find some instructions on the internet or can someone just tell me what to do?

thanks in advance

BTW I just remembered when I had one a few years back. SLP had said to put a drop of loctite on the bolt. I cant remember if I did that or not. JIC

yeah i put a little on it but it wasn't the high heat stuff, just heavy duty. if necessary i figure i can just put it on later if it gives me any problems.

btw...ill give a little mini review cause i just finished driving it. i think i notice a small difference in power (although i might be a little biased). one thing i definately noticed though was that the motor felt much smoother and had better throttle response.

considering i got it for free when i bought the car, it was definately a good investment.

Anybody got any numbers to back up the performance gains?
I'm thinking about making these free mods to my 305TPI and am wondering if I should expect any results in hp or just sound/feel of the engine.

I actually wrote a small program to measure and graph my acceleration times, so I definitely will record acceleration data before & after every single engine mod I do.

I don't think it gives you much hp at all if any only thing i noticed was a little better throttle response. If you do a search there is alot about them

I can easily make one for free so I was curious if it offered any improvements. Throttle response and smoother running sounds good enough to me.

Thanks, guys.
