$200 isnt that much to work with. Like firebirdjosh said, save up some more money and get something, maybe some gears? What gears are you currently running?

right now i have a 3.23 posi/disk brake setup. from what i've heard if you get to much of a lower ratio, it will interfere with the infamous 4200 RPM wall. I'm wanting a HSR setup, but i want to wait until i have enough money for a cam and tune to go with it.
So nothing worth 200?
I was thinking about a 6AL box, but not sure how much it will help
thanks for the replies.

you won't see any difference w/ the MSD box. You don't have near enough to see a gain from it. - you have any suspension mods? if not that's where you need to go next. Subframes, lca's, relocate brackets, torque arm. races are won in 60'...

really? I just figured with the intake off and all, cam is just right there.
did you run into any chip trouble with the HSR?
One last question, in your oppinion, was the HSR worth the 400++ it costs? for the power you got?

yeah, while i was in there a cam would have been nice. BUT im a college student and i ran into my intake very cheap. ive never had a problem with the chip or any real problems actually.
was it worth it?
its not as much fun as the TPI setup was, i dont get that neck snapping jerk like before. BUT now i can pull up to atleast 5500 (i dont want to go much higher than that on bottom end with 210,000 miles) i can also launch better than i could before, .1 second off my 60' times. SO YES I would rather pay for the HSR than trying to put together a system

thats almost what i want to hear, but kinda what i expected. I seen dyno sheets of HSR on stock L98 and it made 10 more HP than stock, but you could see that it leaned out quite abit on topend, so with adequate chip work I should be able to see some major gains
