Off or on the car?

It's off the car. It will be going onto my Monte SS. I would like to be able to get it looking somewhere close to new without having to spend countless hours. I guess if all else fails, I'll just paint it.

Full strength oven cleaner will take everything off. Its cheap and easy to get. I used it to remove anodizing and it did it with no problem. Looked pretty afterwards.

Did the oven cleaner take care of the oxidation also?

I'd bead blast it, and have it clear powder-coated. After you do this, it will
clean up with soapy water very easily. Or you could do colors.....

I dont really want to spend that much money on just making it look pretty. I bought the TPI setup just to get my feet in the fuel injection world (this site has been very informative, by the way). I plan going to a bigger motor later (got my eyes set on a Golen FI 383 right now) and will then have to up grade intake parts if not replace the entire intake.

I'll try the oven cleaner and see what that does.

Thanks for the quick replies guys.

Make sure you get full strength because some stores only sell the weak stuff which is some kind of lemon scent crap. Mothers Mag and aluminum polish will make it shine up if you want it to look nice but it may be hard to get out if the intake has lots of casting.

I'd still bead-blast, but maybe clear coat with a high-temp paint.
