fuel pump, anyone?

O.k., so today i am driving to work and my car just shuts down and i am trying to pull over with no power accessories at all on the highway! I just changed my cap and rotor on the dist. and drove it around for about 5-6 miles after the install. i do not know if it is possible for anything to be wrong there. i know that the fuel pump is probably the original and i have 140,000 on the odom. The car acts like it can turn over when i try to start the engine but no luck. i might have to check the fuel pressure. i can hear the pump relay kick on before starting. can everyone that reads this give some really good info and advice?

mine did the same thing and it was the fuel pump, try sticking a wire in the E terminal that has 12 volts running to it i believe if memory serves me right and that should kick on the fuel pump with out having to try to crank her up and if u dont hear the fuel pump kick on then its fried. Grab a book as well SEE YA!!!
