hye guys, i know i have been asking alot of questions lately, but ive done alot of recent mods and i have been trying to even alot of things out. my rockers tap the slightest bit since i replaced my cam and redid my heads. their is no up and down play, just side to slide play. ive adjusted the valves properly and did a 1/4 turn on each. im running the cam in my profile and the matching springs and such, but im using the stock rocker arms. is the factory rockers causing this noise?? the noise is even across both sides, with no notably louder ones. some of my small block friends said that the tapping is ok, but am i losing power with this going on?? should i readjust them since i put about 300 miles on the motor since the cam was done, and i havent checked the valves since the day after i got it running. once again, any imput would be awesome.
thanks guys

1/4 turn doesn't cut it. Spec is usually 3/4, most run between 1/2 to 3/4(after zero lash) At 1/4 turn, they're a little loose, so they rattle a bit. - That said, the looser the valves are the easier/higher a motor will rev, but you'll loose some bottom end. Tighter is reverse of this.(minimal difference, but there is a difference) - Just don't go tighter than 3/4.
i wonder if that is what is causing my idle problem haha
