305 cam ?

305 cam ?
i bought my g-friend an 86 305 tpi iroc an she wants her car to have a somewhat choppy idle i found this cam its the comp cam cl12-209-2 will it work in this car with of course some cp tuning spec on the cam are. Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 219
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 229
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 219 int./229 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 275
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 277

If not please help me out the car needs to still run good but have that agressive idle.

Picking a cam for the sound? All show, no go? LOL!
Take any cam and have it ground on a small LSA. Big overlap is what you're looking for.
That cam will have an idle. Good size cam for a 305, way too big for a stock car. It'll probably run like crap, IMHO. It'll work, it's just a mismatch for a stock car. No exhaust work, no heads, no intake work? What are you working with?
Find out what else she wants besides a choppy idle. Pick a cam to match your components with a target in mind...other than sound.

yeh i dont know much about cams but by the specs on that it seems like its a lil to much of a cam . and with stock heads itll be a waist of cam.
