Ford injectors (Doc?)
I just bought 24# injectors part 397-M-9593-A302 (Blue top). I wanted the EV1's from Summit, part FMS-M-9593-A302 (red top). I figured if the part number was the same (not considering the first part which is designated for distribution) that I would have got the red tops. I got the blue tops. Does this mean I got the old SVO style? Should I return them for the red tops?

I just went out to check my car, I have the blue tops. I have had these 24# injectors for over 7 years. BTW: I know that they are EV1 style.
I would say that you cant go wrong with the blue tops. And I did not know that 24# Ford injectors came with blue tops and red tops. I do know that you want the A302 suffix number.

The EV1s and EV6s differ in the overall size of the injector and in the connector. We have to use the EV1 style.

Thanks guys - I got screwed up because I know that Ford is getting away from the "SVO" name. So I assumed that they changed the injectors in design as well and that they changed the blue to red. Summits picture shows red for 24# injectors. After further review, I noticed Summit uses that picture for all of Fords Injectors. I guess I just needed a sanity check. I didn't want to miss out on a new design if one existed. As usual, you guys have straigtened me out and I appreciate it very much. Now I can finally get rid of my crap Accels but that is another story... Being in Buffalo, I will let you know how they work out in spring, my car is still in my bros barn.
