cold start issue
I have a 86 iroc with a tpi 305. The only way it will start when it is cold is to push the accellerator pedal down about half way and then crank it up. The motor is got 4,000 miles on a rebuild. All of the sensors have been replaced including the mass air. It will soon recieve a 320hp carberated 355 if I can't fix it. Maybe there is a tpi goo roo in or near Mooresville North Carolina that I can talk to..

You have the horrible cold start system. I have dealt with these issues over and over again. Make sure that the TPS voltage is in check then its time to cover the cold start. Make sure that your cold start switch is in check ( in the front of your base manifold) also make sure that the connector that goes the cold start switch is in good shape and its getting the proper voltage from the ECM. Then make sure that the cold start injector has the proper ohms, even if it does it may be jammed full of junk. I assume you have replaced the coolent temp sensor for the ecm. Thats about all I am going to write, hope it helps.

I've done most of that. replaced all the sensors and injectors. I'm starting to think that it might be in the harness it self

DID you replace the CTS sensor ? It really could be it .

Sounds like sound advice .

do you have to specs for the voltage and ohms of the cold start switch and cold start injector? The tps sensor is in check. I set the voltage on that using a snap-on scanner
