mass air/adj timing set=problems?
i did a quick search of past pots. didnt find what i was looking for. im in the process of upgrading my cam and runners and decided that i would replace the timing set. got a double roller timing set with 3 crank slots. -4/0/+4 degree increments. is there any positive gain of altering the cam timing beyond simply adjusting the dist? If im going to only gain problems i will simply put it straight up. its a crane cams compucam 2032 grind. if that helps at all. i would think that altering the timing this way would just cause problems but i wanted to find out from others in the know.
thanks in advance!

best thing to do is call comp cams... i just installed the same timing set and a slightly bigger cam in my iroc and i wondered the same, so i called them and i found out that my cam was ground to be 4 degrees advanced already, so i had to set it at the zero mark.. I would assume that all comp cams compu cams are the same idea so i would venture to say that u should install the gear at the zero mark. hope this helps!
