LG4 to LB9 conversion information
Hi folks,
I've got a well fairly optioned 86 sports coupe that came with the LG4 engine (305 w/ 4bbl) that I would like to convert over to tpi, basically an LB9 if possible. Does anyone have any favorite sites, links, articles, or general information on how to go about this. I've done things like installed headers, cat backs, and cold air induction kits (on my suburban, not the camaro) but, I've never done an engine pull, tear down, and rebuild. So, anything that could walk me through the process would be great. I have an 86 camaro assembly manual and have been reading up on engines and efi in general for the past year or so and I'm comfortable with the book knowledge, I just don't have the hands on experience. As for the engine itself, it will be set up as a daily driver looking to get mpg over performance. If you need more information let me know.
Thanks,
Tony
