Upgrading Fuel Lines for Hi-Revving Motor
OK currently I have a 406 with a miniram. I run her up to about 7000 rpms and no problems yet. I have the stock fuel lines with a Holley 255 in tank pump and 36lb SVO injectors.
The problem comes with where the lines are routed. I have Hooker Super Comps and Mufflex y-pipe. The stock fuel lines pass within an inch of he exhaust on the driver's side of the tunnel. I want to re-route the fuel lines but am not sure exactly what to use.
Should I keep using the Helley 255 pump in the tank or should I go with a bigger pump?
Should I keep the stock fuel filter in place and just run larger lines from that point up to the motor and back routed away from the exhaust?
I know I need to re-route the lines. No question about that (fuel pressure regualtor gets too hot to touch) But what size lines should I go with?
Has anyone done this?
