TPI cold start problems

did anyone read the what's your problem section in this month's car craft? There is a great section about TPI distributor problem from 87-92. They are supposidly notorious for cracked reluctors and bad pickup coils causing hard starts, steady misfire, intermittent misfire, surging, bucking and more. You have to remove and disassemble the distributor to find these cracks because the reluctor is part of the shaft. It says rebuild the distributor with a new shaft and pickup coil. More details about this can be found in the problems section of June 06 car craft. Hope this can maybe help some of you out I have seen alot of these problems posted and I my self have had these issues intermittantly, maybe this is the solution.

Good to hear that Car Craft is catching up - That information has been posted here for years. As long as the SEACRH function is working, it is always available.
