code 43
What does a code 43 mean. I am haveing high idle problems. I did check my tps it reads 2.5 at idle. iac is new. Someone told me 43 means I have it timed incorrectly. Thanks Jason

Ya I know I think its a litle high. I was just wondering it that was why I have the 43 code. Also I am getting shocked every time I touch the wire above the coil. I put a new wire on and same thing. That gets pretty annoying. I don't think you should get a shock from touching a good wire. Is there something wrong with my coil??

I've never had to deal with a code 43 personally, but if IIRC code 43 is a poor electrical connection/short. ECM/knock sensor/ESC module. Double check as I may not remember correctly...

Found the problem. I had to laugh at myself for a while about this one. I have the secondary fan and knock connectors switched around. I figured it out after reading other threads. Someone said if you ground your fan conn. the fan should turn on with ignition on. It did. Also I found that the fan conn. reads 12v and the knock conn. reads about 5v.
