tpi ecu question

i am going to put a tpi motor in my camaro, can i use a stock ecu and build a tpi 383, do i have to have a chip made for the ecu or do i HAVE to go with a F.A.S.T. ecu?

Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 2.77
Stock ECM and properly programmed chip for startup/cam break-in. Stock injectors won't feed a 383.
Then you'll have to fine tune it to get the most out of it.

By your question, I presume the car doesn't have a TPI now, correct? If so, and you have TBI, you can perform some rewiring and install a TPI/ECM. A stock TPI PROM for a 350 may run the 383, but you'll need a custom tune. Even if you install larger injectors for the 383 (and you probably should) it will benefit greatly from reprogramming.
