intake gasket

I just swapped over to tpi from carb and now my car runs very lean and the cats are glowwing red.I looked in the service manifold for the intake and it said to torque the lower intake to 25 then 45 foot pounds. The problem is I only torque it to 25 foot pounds would this be my problem? It is a 350 with new pink ford injectors and every sensor is new.

I think you answered your own question. Although it would surge and not want to idle, but it would run extremely lean.
