warm engine starting problem

Hey guys. This just started happening to me recently. When the car is really warm and i got to start it up again it will start but idle between 300-600 rpms back and forth like im reving it and then if i tap on the gas it will die. I have no idea what the deal is. If i pop the hood and let it cool down for a sec it will start up without a problem. It doesnt overheat though and runs and "normal" temperatures for these things. Any help would be much apreciated.

Warm Engine Problem

I am not an expert but I had the exact same problem with my car and it turned out to be a combination of a weak fuel pump from Autozone and vapor lock in the fuel lines. The fuel line was too close to my new exhaust, which would cause the fuel in the line to get warm and vaporize. I would have to let it sit for about 30 minutes to cool down and it would be fine. Every mechanic I spoke to said it was impossible for an electric fuel pump but some heat shielding fixed the problem.

I hope this helps! I would like to verify if an electric fuel pump can actually get vapor lock........
