You might want to replace the timing gear & chain while you're there. Water pump too? New Plugs/Wires/Dist. Cap/Rotor? AFPR?
Bag & tag all the parts, lifters (new?), rockers, etc. Take digital photos before you start and during disassembly.
Bring the number one cylinder to TDC before you take it apart. Mark the Dizzy position with a felt marker.
Losen the front several bolts on the oil pan and cut the metal tabs on the timing chain cover to help get the cover back in place. Mine was a bitch, and leaked when I was done.....
Buy all of your Gaskets, Black RTV, Teflon Thread Sealant, Paint, Solvents, WD-40, Motor Oil & Filter, blah, blah, blah.... Clean the parts well before you seal and paint.
Clean all of the bolt threads with a wire wheel chucked on a drill, USE SAFETY GLASSES!
Take a good look at where the timing gear mark is before you take it apart. Photo!
It's a pretty big job, especially if you've never done it before. Take your time and it will turn out well.
What cam/lifters did you buy? Non-Roller right?

Nice!
Be careful when you remove/install the cams. You have to lift up on it as you pull/push to keep from bumping the bearing surfaces on the far end of the cam. You should use cam lube on the lobes, and plenty of clean oil on everything that moves.
Be easy on the engine for the first 200 miles at least. It'll be tough, but keep your foot out of it. I'd change the oil at 1000 miles or so. I'd bet that you'll need more than stock fuel delivery with that cam.
Stock fuel injectors? AFPR?
What heads and exhaust will you have?

With a good exhaust, 1.6 Rockers, un-ported stock heads, 19 lb. fuel injectors at ~46 psi, and a tuned chip, I suspect that you will end up with about 265 HP at the flywheel. That cam would perform better with more available air flow and more fuel. The heads and injectors will be holding you back some.
You'll actually have more valve lift than the heads can use... Maybe more lift than the stock heads can handle... I hear that .490 is pushing it, and you'll have more than that with the 1.6 Rockers.
