swapin ported tpi parts...any tips/tool/info i need to know?

swapin ported tpi parts...any tips/tool/info i need to know?

well i got my port work done on my slp runners and plenum...and i am about to swap them out for the stock runners/plenum....i have never done this befor so i was wondering do i need to pull the injectors and fuel rail to swap my parts? is there anythin i need to know when doin this swap? any tips/tools ect.. thanks

pretty basic tools is all you need. Just remeber to go gently when takeing off the plenum , it may be stock on there

also remeber the IAT under the plenum , just don't rip it off .

You have to pull the plenum off and loosen the bolts to the runners. I believe the passenger side runner can be pulled out with out removing the fuel rails but I know that for the driver side runners you have to pull the fuel rails off of the intake base.

As many times I've taking mine apart in 20 yrs I've never had to remove the fuel rails to remove the runners.Just switched from the stock to the ported SLP runner last week.

I've been switching between the SLP's and the stock one's since 2002.My best run was with the stock runners but I've ran more 13.9's with the SLP's.
